The Owners
Cara & Rory Gallagher
Since getting married in St Johns church on Princes Street "13" years ago, Cara & Rory have had a very colourful career in the bar trade.
In 2012 they opened "The Island Bar" in Lanzarote in the Canary Islands, turning it into a huge success being named No.1 Live Music Bar in Lanzarote for 6 years in a row on Trip Advisor.
They soon followed this by opening a Beachview Sportsbar named "Gallaghers".
Relocating to Edinburgh in 2020 they took the lease on "The Wildcat Bar" and planned a grand opening for March 20th 2020. However... Covid had a different idea! Sadly they had to hand back the keys 3 months later as an end to the pandemic did not appear to be in sight.
During the lockdowns Rory began to perform live on Facebook to a huge response. This led to 4 singles charting in the Irish & U.K. iTunes top 30 and was followed up by a two year tour of his album titled "Centre Falls Apart".
Cara & Rory took on Bar 13 in the summer of 2023 and are buzzing to be working together again. Unlike 90% of bars in the U.K. BAR 13 is completely free of any ties to a Major Brewery. and is independently family owned.
Live Music
Rory & The Island
Co-owner Rory Gallagher (Rory & The Island) is the resident musician in BAR 13 performing from 6pm every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
When Rory is off touring he is replaced by some of the best local acts in Edinburgh.

Bar Manager
Louise Henderson
BAR 13 is currently managed by Louise Henderson who has had previous experience in The West Port Hotel of Linlithgow and Scotts of South Queensferry.
She is loving the challenge of helping the running of a brand new independent Live Music Bar & Kitchen in Edinburgh's West End.
Private Functions & Events at BAR 13
BAR 13 is available for private bookings and functions.
Our Kitchen, Bar and Entertainment is available for hire, subject to availability.
